You would have thought that as the 9th anniversary of the death of my best friend, Jon Somerton, was passing I would be used to the fact that he had died. However that proved not to be a couple of days ago.

I was walking through St. Pancras station which isn’t a place I associate with Jon at all. As I came around a corner I suddenly thought “hey there’s Jon” as I spotted someone who initially looked like him, same hair, same height, same profile. It wasn’t that I thought, that guy looks like Jon, I momentarily thought that it was him. Within a second of course reality had told me it couldn’t be.

The episode was strangely unsettling because the feeling of happiness at seeing him followed swiftly by the realisation that it couldn’t be left a sudden sense of sadness and almost despair that took quite a while to overcome.

I think of Jon quite often and he is sadly missed but normally these days with fond and happy memories. In an odd way this is now another to add to the collection.

That is all this is.

So first some text to float right. This is it :)

With a nice red border on the left as well!

Ok what I want to make sure I can do is to add a div tag with some styling to float some other text right and style it a bit. Some people think that WordPress will remove the div tag and replace it with a paragraph tag. I am sure it won’t. This test will find out one way or another.

I have fairly randomly chosen this tweet to share via Posterous to see how the new Twitter/Posterous integration works.
