Much excitement among the smaller birds on the feeder this afternoon as a  Sparrowhawk came to tea. Couldn’t be sure but I think it missed them all. This is the third sighting of a Sparrowhawk in our little garden recently. Twice they have been after birds on the feeder. Always too fast to get any pictures. However if you want to see a great shot taken in Haworth of one that had caught a starling have a look at this image taken by Ian Palmer.
